Cerovo, Grosuplje
Cerovo is a small settlement in the Grosuplje municipality in central Slovenia. It lies in the hills to the south of Grosuplje in the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church, built on an isolated location to the south of the settlement, is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and belongs to the Št. Jurij pri Grosupljem parish. In its core it is a 13th century Romanesque building that was restyled in the Baroque. It has a well preserved late 15th century defence wall, built as a refuge against Ottoman raids.[3]
